
Let’s Give the Liberals Their Daily Affirmation

A few years ago, I was watching TV with an ex-girlfriend. It was an entertainment show that was doing an interview with actress Kate Hudson. She described her experience traveling abroad to Paris, France and being embarrassed by her fellow countrymen:
"We're
the most annoying, boisterous creatures in the world. I mean
we come in and we eat mounds of food, and we're like, 'Where's
the kaachup [sic] for our French fries?' I'm like, 'Shut up!'
Sometimes I'll be walking down the street and I'll hear some
American and I'll just go, 'Of course they hate us, of course
they can't stand us.' "

profound quote from one of America's most enlightened is exactly

A recent article about John Edwards made me think
of that movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
It's about a man who goes through a painful break-up with
his girlfriend. Rather than deal with the pain of losing the
love of his life, he has a doctor erase all memories of her.
I suspect the last 40 years have been so traumatic for John
Edwards that he has decided to go to the same doctor. More...
Samuels and Agora Publishing Consortium Miss the Point

Collectivism holds that man is just a tool to be exploited for the common good and that pursuing his personal happiness is evil. So says Raymond Samuels' II in his new book Capitalism is Not Democracy, published by the far left "not for profit" Agora Publishing Consortium. There's a problem, however; the book's premise seems to contradict the very nature of man.
