Since Karl Marx published his infamous Communist Manifesto in 1848, America – while all the time denouncing this antithesis of liberty, free will, and healthy economics – has slowly but surely been moving toward Marx's idea of paradise. A country in which government provides for the needs of the citizen regardless of whether or not that citizen produces an equal amount of labor as his fellow man.
After fighting the Cold War for more than 70 years, America has ironically become a socialist country. Perhaps not to the extent of many European nations, but we are a socialist country. Maybe we tax our citizens only so much that we are still able to produce surplus goods and services, create jobs, keep our poverty and unemployment rates low, and grow our GDP every year… for now. But as our citizens' thirst for more and more government handouts grows (fueled by the career politicians' desire to get elected at all costs), we can only sustain this for so long.
One of the major goals of Amarxica is to expose the Republican party's betrayal of conservative values. Frankly, we expect the promotion of a socialist state by the Democratic party. After all, they've been systematically transforming our free market economy into one that punishes our hardest workers and greatest producers for the past century. But for the Republican party to partake in this obscene bastardization of the economic principles that made this country so prosperous is unforgivable.
We are at a pivotal point in our nation's history. When Republicans act exactly like Democrats, there is little hope that free market capitalism can survive. The danger that this system, which has provided an unprecedented standard of living compared to any time in history (even for those we consider “poor”), is in danger of becoming extinct.
While you will see criticisms and blame thrown the way of the Democratic party, we will also concentrate on those “Republicans” who, for whatever reason, have betrayed conservative values and become socialist liberals through their words and/or actions. They are the party in power and we will hold them accountable here. Whenever we see our so-called "conservative" government engage in socialist behavior, we will proudly and unashamedly call it out.
Amazingly, in the face of obviously clear evidence to the contrary, liberals still believe that we can have the best of both capitalism and socialism: a country in which government takes care of us from cradle to grave, all the time keeping our taxes low, our choices and liberties abundant, a high degree of prosperity, and most of all, no intrusion in our personal lives. Anyone who knows anything about economics or the history of governments knows that this Utopia is impossible. We've seen disastrous ruin in the former Soviet Union, and we are witnessing it now in many European nations. So either many Americans know little about economics, or they are in terminal denial. So, another of our goals will be to prove to our readers why this can only be the end of our freedoms and our prosperity.
To be perfectly frank, another one of Amarxica 's loftier goals is to encourage the destruction the current two-party political system. No more Republicans. No more Democrats. It's time in this country to have a showdown between the conflicting values of this nation. In short, the two party system should be consist of the Conservative and Liberal parties. We believe that you either treasure the principles of our Founding Fathers or you believe in socialism.
Either you agree that America is a country founded on self-determination with an extremely limited government, or you believe that the federal government's role is to solve all of our problems and absolve us of our personal responsibilities. History and current events have shown that when you allow government to provide you with that which you refuse to provide for yourself, then the very definition of liberty is moot.
Either you desire a free society in which everyone can make their own choices in every facet of their lives; where government is regulated to its original purpose – protection of its people and commerce; where you are free to keep the majority of your money and do with it what you wish, or you desire a communist system in which the major decisions of our lives are determined by the government; from your retirement to your health care to the capital you earn from your labor – all are controlled by a select few; a government that has the right to intrude on your personal affairs because you have given them the power to make so many personal decisions for you.
We prefer the former. We will do what we can to preserve America and avoid Amarxica.
